Pricing Structure

Clear pricing for vehicle recovery and transport

RecoBuddy is built to make vehicle recovery and transport easier to arrange, whether you are an everyday driver, business user, dealer, trader, garage, auction buyer or independent provider.

Our pricing structure is designed to be simple, transparent and easy to understand.

RecoBuddy is a marketplace platform. This means users post recovery or transport jobs, independent providers submit quotes, and the user chooses the quote that works best for them.

For Customers and Users

No Monthly Fee

There is no monthly subscription to use RecoBuddy as a customer.

You can download the app, create an account and post a recovery or transport request without paying a monthly fee.

Post a Job for Free

You can post a job and receive quotes from available providers without paying upfront.

You only pay when you choose to accept a quote and confirm a booking.

If you post a job but do not accept a quote, you will not usually be charged.

You Choose the Quote

Independent recovery and transport providers submit their own quotes.

You can compare the quotes you receive and choose the provider that best suits your needs.

You are not required to accept a quote you are not happy with.

No Customer Platform Fee

RecoBuddy does not charge customers a separate platform fee, booking fee or commission on top of the quote they accept, unless clearly stated otherwise.

The price shown at booking is the provider quote you choose to accept.

For Drivers and Providers

Free to Join

Providers may need to complete verification checks before they can access jobs and submit quotes.

Set Your Own Prices

Drivers and providers set their own quotes for the jobs they want to complete.

RecoBuddy does not force providers to accept jobs or quote fixed prices.

You choose which jobs to quote for and the price you are willing to complete the work for.

RecoBuddy Commission

RecoBuddy may deduct a commission or platform charge from provider payouts.

Any applicable commission will be shown or confirmed through the driver agreement, provider account, payout information or separate written agreement.

Customers and standard users do not usually pay this commission as an extra charge.

What Affects the Price of a Job?

Provider quotes can vary depending on the details of the job.

Common factors include:

* Pickup location

* Drop-off location

* Distance

* Vehicle type

* Vehicle size

* Vehicle condition

* Whether the vehicle runs and drives

* Whether keys are available

* Access at pickup or delivery

* Urgency

* Time of day

* Provider availability

* Equipment required

* Waiting time

* Additional mileage

A short local recovery will usually be priced differently from a long-distance transport job, urgent recovery or non-runner movement.

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply if the job changes after a quote has been accepted.

This may happen if:

* The vehicle condition was incorrect

* The vehicle was listed as running but is a non-runner

* Keys are not available

* The vehicle is blocked in

* The pickup or drop-off address changes

* Extra mileage is required

* Waiting time is caused

* Specialist equipment is needed

* Site access causes delays

* The job is different from the original request

Any additional charges should be reasonable and clearly explained before being agreed.

Waiting Time

Waiting time may apply if a provider is delayed because the vehicle, keys, customer, collection contact or delivery contact is not ready.

Waiting time may also apply where delays are caused by garages, compounds, auction sites, storage yards or incorrect access details.

Providing accurate information helps reduce the risk of delays and extra charges.

Cancellations

If you cancel before accepting a quote, no payment will usually be taken.

If you cancel after accepting a quote, a cancellation fee may apply depending on the circumstances.

This may depend on whether the provider has:

* Accepted the booking

* Started travelling

* Arrived at the pickup location

* Reserved time for the job

* Incurred fuel, time or operating costs

* Turned down other work

* Started carrying out the service

Cancellation fees are reviewed based on the situation and should be fair and proportionate.

Payments

Payments may be processed through RecoBuddy’s payment provider.

Keeping payments inside the platform helps protect booking records, payment history and support information.

Users, businesses, drivers and providers should not arrange off-platform payments for jobs found through RecoBuddy unless RecoBuddy gives written permission.

VAT and Receipts

Some provider quotes may include VAT depending on the provider’s VAT status.

Where VAT applies, this should be shown or confirmed as part of the booking or payment record.

Users and businesses may be able to access receipts, payment records or booking details through the platform where available.

Why RecoBuddy Pricing Is Different

RecoBuddy does not operate like a traditional recovery company with one fixed price list.

Instead, RecoBuddy allows independent providers to quote for jobs based on their own availability, distance, equipment and operating costs.

This gives users more choice and gives providers control over the work they quote for.
